The Future of Dredging in Latin America is the new international conference, set to take in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on 28th and 29th August, 2012.

Officially supported by WEDA,IADC, ABD and EuDA The Future of Dredging in Latin America will bring together dredging companies and their customers, oil and gas majors, ports, land reclamation companies, offshore and wind project companies, consultants, policy-makers and industry regulators, offering delegates a first-class forum for business development, networking and debate.

Over 2 days, a targeted audience of senior level delegates will hear from industry leaders from across the globe and will have a unique opportunity to discuss hot topics. Issues to be covered include a review of projects across the region, the need for contractor involvement from the outset, environmental regulations and how these must be countered by technology, the demand for new vessels, dredging finance, insurance and reinsurance, the government PAC 2 stimulus in Brazil, new standards set out by IADC, impact and logistics of installing more subsea pipelines, and the impact of China, Korea and Japan based dredging companies entering into the marketplace.
