Martin Bellamy, Group Chairman and Chief Executive, Salamanca Marina

Martin founded Salamanca in 2002 following a career in the British Army, where he served as an officer for 10 years. Since Salamanca's creation, Martin has overseen the growth of the Group and has led many of the Group’s transactions. Martin sits on the board of Salamanca Group Holdings and holds board positions in a number of Salamanca’s subsidiary and related companies.

He is also President of Marina Port Vell S.A (Spain) and sits on the board of Ecocil Incorporações, a leading Brazilian real estate developer and Casa Minerals, a pan-African, gold exploration company. Martin attended the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and has an MBA from Reading University.

In 1996 Martin rowed across the Atlantic Ocean and is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.

The owner of Above & Beyond is Tine Arentsen Willumsen, who was born in Denmark but also lived for many years in Sydney, Singapore, Brussels, Paris, London and Zurich. Tine has extensive cross cultural business experience, since she has worked in most of Asia, the Gulf countries, Russia, Europe, South and North America as well as parts of Africa.

Tine has a Bachelor Degree in “Export and International Marketing” from Singapore, as well as an MBA in “Luxury Brand Management “from the “Grande Ecole ESSEC” in Paris.

Throughout the last 20 years of her career, Tine has gained detailed industry expertise within the areas of jewellery, watches, hi-fi, leather goods, fashion, luxury automobiles, yachting & high end real estate.

Tony heads the yacht team, and has more than 20 years' experience of yacht-related legal issues and a reputation as one of the leaders in this field. His work focuses primarily on large yacht transactions and major yacht insurance disputes. He has an international client base, and has worked with most of the leading European yacht underwriters and yards.

Tony has an active involvement in industry bodies such as the Superyacht Society, the British Marine Federation and its Superyacht UK initiative, and the Royal Yachting Association. Tony is an experienced sailor and fluent French speaker.

Marion has extensive experience in commercial and construction law. Her practice has a particular focus on yacht design, construction and insurance matters. She has represented yacht designers and builders as well as owners and charterers. Her practice ranges from advisory and drafting work, to advocacy and representation in all forms of dispute resolution procedures including trial and appellate court proceedings, adjudications and international arbitrations involving various rules such as UNCITRAL, ICC and LMAA. She is described as a barrister "... whose ‘perseverance and determination are commendable and comforting to clients’." (Legal 500 2011) and as being "commercially minded, pragmatic and brilliant at handling clients" (Chambers & Partners 2011). She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a regular speaker on contract law issues in the UK and abroad.

Nick Saul, Bachmann Marine

Has worked in the Shipping industry for 32 years both on board and ashore, having left school at 18 to pursue a career in the Merchant Navy, serving principally on tankers, bulk and car carriers. After 5 years sea service he came ashore to undertake a degree in Maritime Commerce at the University of Wales.

On completion of his degree he moved into passenger and ferry operations initially with Stena Line before moving to Holyman in Australia, Hebridean Island Cruises and Northlink Ferries, before moving to Guernsey in 2008 to manage Bachmann Marine.

Bransom Bean, Moore Stephens

Bransom always wanted to go to sea and after graduating from Purdue University in 1974, he was commissioned as a Regular Officer in the United States Navy qualifying in Submarines. Ashore, Bransom went into Commercial and Industrial Real Estate, first as a Broker in Boston, Massachusetts, USA and then as President of a German-owned Real Estate development company operating in the USA and Canada. He still holds a Florida Real Estate License.

Moving from Miami to the Isle of Man in 1988 to set up an international property trouble-shooting firm for a British bank, he later became Marketing Director for an international fiduciary firm and then a large law firm before establishing his coaching business, Fine Focus Limited, and joining Moore Stephens as a Consultant, Director and Mentor.

Bransom is a PADI Scuba diver, private pilot, columnist and public speaker. He is also a fully qualified steam locomotive driver and has a HGV Class-One (Artic/Tractor-trailor) license.

Above all a sailor, Bransom crewed offshore in the AZAB , three trans-Atlantics under sail and one in a 57-foot trawler, raced 33,000 miles around the world (under sail ,west about, through the Antarctic) aboard COMMERCIAL UNION ASSURANCE in the 1996/1997 BT Global Challenge and conceived and managed the Isle of Man entry in 2000/01 BT Global Challenge.

He is a member of the Isle of Man Shipping Association, Propeller Club, Royal Ocean Racing Club, Professional Yachtsman’s Association, US Navy League, Submarine League, International Superyacht Society and was a founder of the US Superyacht Association.

Ayuk has a Masters Degree from the University of Reading and trained in Value Added Tax (VAT) with the UK Institute of Indirect Taxation. He joined the Isle of Man firm in 1999, where he is currently a Director of Moore Stephens Consulting Limited and Moore Stephens Trust Company Limited.

With wide experience in sales, marketing and training in the manufacturing, service and finance industries, Ayuk has responsibility for co-ordinating and developing the firm’s specialist services, including yachting.

As a recognised expert on the European Community VAT system, Ayuk works with clients to optimise the structures and business models required for secure and cost-effective operation within the European Community, whether in relation to trade in goods and services or the exploitation of moveable and immoveable assets.

His varied background, wide experience and abilities (he speaks French fluently) make him particularly suited for dealing with many aspects of yacht ownership and operation through companies, trusts, foundations and other business mediums.

A regular speaker at industry conferences worldwide, Ayuk also contributes articles to leading industry journals and publishes a popular monthly Yachting VAT Note.

With two Americas Cup campaigns under his belt, project management responsibilities for the King of Spain’s yacht Fortuna and myriad completed vessels including both one-off bespoke and series production models, Iñigo Toledo is on the crest of a wave. As MD and senior naval architect of his own company, Barracuda Yacht Design, Iñigo has day to day responsibility for overseeing the development and successful progress of each project.

Last year’s highlight was the launch of the Barracuda designed 32m AKALAM which set a number of new benchmarks in design including the extensive use of panoramic glass windows and an extremely large 60m² aft-deck space.

Derik Wagner, Managing Director, MTN Satellite Communications

Derik Wagner brings more than 10 years of global sales and management experience to his role as managing director of the MTN yacht services business. He is responsible for leading the yacht business’ continued growth in providing global satellite communications solutions to large luxury yachts around the world.

During his tenure, the MTN yacht services business has rapidly achieved recognition as the preferred supplier of global managed VSAT services for the megayacht industry, with more 50 percent of the top 100 world’s largest yachts using MTN for their broadband communication requirements.

Prior to joining MTN, he served as senior account manager at France Telecom Mobile Satellite Communications (FTMSC) where he represented over 30 distributors throughout the Americas for mobile satellite services, including Inmarsat, Iridium, and Thuraya Equipment and Airtime. Previously, Derik worked on the first VoIP gateways and Softswitch technology as an engineer at Lucent Technologies. Wagner graduated from the University of South Florida and serves on the Board of the U.S. Superyacht Association (USSA). He is a USCG licensed Captain.

Paul is the Business Development Director of [ANT], a company renowned for integrating Superyachts and Residences with sophisticated technology, including entertainment systems, IT, communications, bridge systems and high level security.

Having grown up in the UK sailing Mecca of Lymington, Paul continued his maritime upbringing with a career spent connected to the sea as a Royal Navy officer, with 3 command appointments, before becoming a Superyacht Captain. He then established various businesses connected with Superyachts before joining the board of [ANT] in 2008. A certified petrol-head and classic car owner he is a committee member of the British Maritime Federation.
